More Swaps, Unofficials, Officials, and My Birthday!

In September, I sent one postcard to Russia, CA-566338. It was a pre-paid postcard of a beaver.

In October, I got some neat postcards!

I received an early birthday present from Bulgaria! 

I received a very nice postcard of Dredge No. 4 for the Canada-to-Canada tag.

This cake postcard is probably my most favourite postcard I have received, it was from a swap with a very nice member in Alberta, Canada.

A Few More Postcards, A Few More Smiles

On the 7th of August, I received RU-3845829, it was a super cute one too. It totally surprised me, because I sort of forgot about Postcrossing when most of my cards that I sent expired... I wasn't aware that Postcrossing let you get more postcards to make up for the lost ones. Not too much of a fan of that though, because when the cards that I send get registered, I won't get one back until I send enough to balance it...

I then discovered the forum - well, I knew about it for a long time. The reason I didn't sign up until 2 months later is because... (brace yourself, I'm going to sound like a huge idiot) I thought you were supposed to use the same login credentials from the website on the forum!!! I tried logging in so many times with my username and password from the website until I realized you had to make a new, separate account! 

Anyway, I discovered all the goodness and joys of the forum, but was a total newbie at this whole thing, and I'm not the type of person to read the manual that comes with a box, so you can imagine how clueless I was. The first thing that I discovered was the Travelling Notebooks, and I was soooo fascinated by how it works, so I started one myself. However, it got lost. Here's the cover of that notebook:

I made it myself! Pretty sad that it's gone, but hey, at least I got a good pic of the cover!

I also discovered tags, and found the Canada-to-Canada tag! I was so very happy, because the postal rates here are not so nice... I don't believe I have a picture of any of the postcards I sent, but I do have a scan of the first postcard I received from that tag.

The last postcard that was sent and received was to Germany, CA-555082! It's a prepaid postcard of the CN Tower. She even added a description, which is quite rare, because most people don't add a description (like me).

Her description was: The CN Tower looms over the Rogers Centre and the rest of Toronto.

And that was how my summer of 2015 was spent!

My first postcards, ever!

The first postcard I sent was on June 6th, 2015. It was to a user in Russia, who really liked whales! I didn't have any postcards on me at the time so I drew one. It's CA-537765. 

It's really bad, I know!

Then, on the 30th of July, I received my first postcard! I was practically jumping around the house in excitement. It was US-3464593, from a user in Portland, Oregon, USA. I put it up on my fridge and it was all that I talked about for that week!

Greetings from Canada!

Being on Postcrossing for about a year now, I've come across soooo many wonderful blogs, and I decided I should start my own. It took me a while to get the motivation to, but after I saw so many inspiring blogs I thought I should finally create one. I know that nobody ever scrolls to the end of blogs because there are so many posts to go through, so a here's a message to whoever's reading this from past me: congrats, you made it to the end of the blog!
